Regulatory Compliance
Chemical substances are regulated all around the world, and substances that control micro-organisms very often even more highly regulated. LIFE will work with you to identify the regulations that apply to your products, and then ensure that all such requirements are met.
Antimicrobial substances are regulated in the United States under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), which is administered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and in the European Union under the Biocidal Products Regulation 528/2012 (BPR), which is administered by the European Chemical Agency (ECHA). LIFE offers full ranges of products compliant with both FIFRA and the BPR.
Antimicrobial substances used in in polymers in contact with food or drinking water contact polymers are also subject to special regulation both in the United States and in the European Union. LIFE offers many antimicrobial additives that comply with such regulations.
