How to Treat Your Material
We build LIFE’s antimicrobial technologies into solid materials in the same way colorants are added to your materials.
- In polymer and coating applications, the LIFE antimicrobial additives are built into the plastic or coating, carriers and added during the manufacturing process in much in the same way as color pigments.
- LIFE’s antimicrobial additives are compounded into pellet polymer carrier systems which are then mixed with fiber resin and extruded into fibers.
- For ceramic glazing, LIFE additives are incorporated into the wet glaze prior to spray application to the tiles or sanitaryware.
No new machinery or additional production steps are required to incorporate LIFE antimicrobial technologies.
